I am working on another bench tool, this time a high-power dummy load that should be good for tests up to 500W. Check it out by following the menu at left to the "In Progress" section.

The April, May, and June 2008 posts have been moved to the news archive section under "2Q08". If my blather somehow excites you, go wild. Otherwise, stay tuned for these exciting updates in the near future:

1) The amplifier that has been occupying the In Progress section has been completed, tested, and delivered to its new owner. I intend to pull that out of In Progress and into its own article when time permits.

2) The multivoltage power supply may get delayed slightly again, because I fell head over heels into a high-power dummy load project. This one will be 8Ω mono, 300W nominal free-air with fan cooling added for short tests to 500W+, and probably use a current transformer to report average power through the unit.

Anyway, none of these are up yet, but I've got the usual pictures. Hope to make the apporpriate updates soon!

Yep, still here, and finally finished writing up the Sub Plate Amplifier article. Check it out in the "Newer Projects" section. Probably has a dumptruck full of typos yet, but since I stayed up to a most regrettable hour trying to finally finish it, up it goes. Enjoy!

This update schedule is getting ridiculous...but, it's summer, and that means lots of other distractions and lots of deadlines at my job. But, there is quite a bit of work to report on the amplifier project, so check out the "In Progress" section to see it.
